Sheffield’s premier science fiction and fantasy writer’s group has been around for more than 12 years creating stories ranging from the dark and fantastical to machinations of science-fiction. The group is comprised of individuals writing in their own styles and distinctive voices, sharing ideas and worlds as well as positive critique of member’s creations.
We meet at 7:30pm, the first and third Monday of every month at the Museum pub (25 Orchard Square, Sheffield S1 2GX).
We host several events throughout the year. There’s our Off the Cuff meet ups on the last Saturday of every month. These are informal chats for anyone who wishes to talk about genre, writing and just about anything else. All are welcome.
We also host An Evening At Escafeld, guest authors will give readings and take part in Q&As about their work. There will also be a reading from an Ages of Escafeld anthology as well as a raffle and our ‘books to a good home’ table.
Lastly, our main event of every year is the Ages of Escafeld, a day event where authors and other speakers give talks on a variety of topics to help you with your craft. You’ll also be introduced to the open world of Escafeld, created by some of our fabulous group members, and can enter a short story in our next anthology. Check out our EVENTS page HERE for more details on these. For more on our open world check out the ESCAFELD page HERE.
Anyone wishing to look at the anthologies that we have produced can find them on our SHOP page HERE.
