Yes, it’s that time again, we’re now accepting submissions to our Ages of Escafeld anthology and this year absolutely anyone can submit! So if you’ve got a short sci-fi or fantasy story bubbling away in the back of your brain, or something from Escafeld happens to spark your imagination, then we want to read your story But just what is Escafeld? Well, it’s a shared world created by our group members and covers everything from high fantasy with dragons and ancient empires, to the urban fantasy of the modern day all the way out to the far reaches of sci-fi in deep space. Answer: Yes, of course you would! So how are we going to do this? Well, if you've hung around this blog before you may have heard mention of Escafeld, the open world created by the members of our group. It centres on the world of Terra, and often more specifically the city of Escafeld, throughout the ages. It's a world built to be as open and expansive as possible, you can write pretty much whatever genre you want about the world, everything from high fantasy and urban fantasy through to space opera and dystopian sci-fi.

Coming Soon to Escafeld

Who's up for some more short stories from the world of Escafeld? For those that don't know, Escafeld is the open world created by our group and follows the world of Terra, and often more specifically the city of Escafeld, through the ages. It encompasses every genre from high fantasy through urban fantasy and all the way to space opera and dystopian sci-fi. It's split into four ages, the Age of Dreams, the Age of Hammers, the Age of Spirits and the Age of Infinity, each representing its own set of genres and period in Terra's history.

Okay, so there's two things we need to go over with this post. Firstly, last Saturday was our third Evening at Escafeld event of the year, featuring the brilliantly funny KT Davies, Heide Goody and Iain Grant. There were some hilarious stories as well as lots of great chat and, all in all, it was a really fun evening.
